Promob Update - Do not leave the Searching for Updates screen – Promob Support

What happens?

When starting Promob Update, the message Searching for updates is displayed and always remains on this screen.

Why does it happen?

1. Promob Update is out of date;

2. Promob Update has a corrupted file;

3. Promob Update temporary files are preventing new scans;

4. For some reason, Promob Update is unable to check for new updates;

5. The antivirus is preventing the Promob update.

What to do?

Solution 1: Replace Promob Update

IMPORTANT: only perform this procedure when requested by Promob Technical Support.

1. Download the file of Promob Update;

2. Update Promob.

Solution 2. Delete temporary files from Promob Update

1. Delete temporary files of Update.

Solution 3. Run Promob Update as an administrator

1. Access the Windows Start menu - All Programs - Promob - Promob (Manufacturer's name) and right-click on Promob Update. Select the Run as administrator option;

2. If the situation is corrected, right-click on PromobUpdate.exe and, under Properties - Compatibility, check the option Always run as administrator.

Solution 4. Disable Antivirus

1. Disable antivirus.

Solution 5. Delete Promob Update settings file

1. As the closed Promob access Local Disk (C:)\ProgramData\Procad;

NOTE: The ProgramData folder is a hidden folder, if it is not already displayed click here;

2. Locate and delete the file Promob.Proxy.Config;

3. Open Promob and perform the update.
