What happens?
When activating Promob, the message Unable to complete this operation.
Contact Promob's Call Center is displayed.
Why does it happen?
The situation can occur due to the following reasons:
- Incorrect login or serial number;
- Administrative permission;
- Internet Explorer defaced;
- Software or network lockdown.
What to do?
Solution 1: Check the operating system date and time
1. Check the date and time set in Windows. By default, it is displayed in the lower right corner of your computer screen;
2. If the date and time are incorrect, adjust them so that Promob can verify the subscription;
3. Right-click on the date and time and select the Adjust date/time option.
Solution 2: Verify signature and installed system
1. Check the serial number you are filling out against your subscription management in the Portal. If the serial number is expired or incorrect, check the subscription status;
2. Compare the name of the Promob installed on the client with the name of the subscription on the Portal.
Example: The Promob Combo Project cannot be activated with a Promob Arch serial number, just as a Custom Combo Promob cannot be activated with a Promob Plus serial number.
Solution 3: Run as administrator
1. Close the activation page;
2. Go to the location C:\Program Files\Promob\Promob (System Name)\Program\Bin;
3. Locate the Promob.exe file, right-click and select the Run as administrator option;
4. Try activation again. If the situation persists, carry out solution 4.
Solution 4: Reset and delete Internet Explorer history
1. Close the activation page;
2. Delete Internet Explorer browsing history;
3. Restore and reset Internet Explorer;
4. Open Promob and try activating again. If the situation persists, go to solution 5.
Solution 5: Check for Windows Updates
1. Access the Computer Start Menu and search for updates;
2. Locate and click on Check for updates;
3. If updates are available, they will be displayed on the next screen.
Solution 6: Delete log files
1. Close the activation page;
2. Access the location C:\ProgramData\Procad and delete the 0.sys file (number will vary depending on Promob). If you don't find the ProgramData folder, click here;
3. Go to the location C:\ProgramData\Procad\(System Name) and delete the LocalCache.dat and TokenCache.dat files;
4. Open Promob and try activating again. If the situation persists, proceed with solution 7.
Solution 7: Check antivirus installed on the computer
1. Close the activation page;
2. Check if there is any antivirus installed on your computer and temporarily disable it if it is installed on the machine;
3. If no antivirus is found or the situation persists after disabling it, carry out solution 8.
Solution 8: Check internet limiters
1. Contact a computer technician or your internet provider to release the addresses needed to activate Promob. Click here to see the IPs and ports that must be released.
