What happens?
When trying to open Promob or a design, the message Windows cannot access the device, path or file specified. You may not have the proper permissions to access the item. is displayed.
Why does it happen?
The message occurs because:
- The logged-in user does not have the permissions to execute Promob files;
- Promob was installed on a different user with an old installer. Older versions of installers meant that, if Promob was installed under a different user, it would not work correctly;
- If it only occurs when trying to open the Promob directly from the design, it occurs because the design is associated with the application Promob.exe for opening;
What to do?
Occurs when trying to open Promob via shortcut
1. Check when the installation media was downloaded.
- Before 10/10/2017
- Restart the download in the same directory so that Promob just replaces the PromobInstaller.exe version;
- After downloading the new installer, reinstall Promob;
- After 10/10/2017
- Request the support of a computer technician to configure the user's permissions;
