What are Cutting Parameters?
Cutting Parameters are the settings used in the cutting plan generation. They define rules and characteristics for planning and positioning parts on the sheet, such as:
Cut type;
Spacing between parts;
Cut orientation;
Grouping rules;
Other optimization settings.
These parameters allow the cutting plan generation to be adapted to the operational needs of each company.
What are Web Cutting Parameters?
Web Cutting Parameters serve the same purpose as local parameters: defining the rules used to generate the cutting plan.
The main difference is that they cannot be edited directly in Cut Pro. They must be maintained through the Web Editor and are available in Cut Pro for consultation only.
When are web parameters used?
Web parameters are used on all Router machines.
When a cutting plan uses the Nesting optimization linked to a Router, the settings are managed in the Web Editor and cannot be changed directly in Cut Pro.
Even in plans with web management, the following fields remain available for configuration in Cut Pro:
Manufacturer: defines the manufacturer and model of the machine to be used.
Machine: allows you to select the machine registered in the Web Editor that will provide the settings for the cutting plan.
Setups: defines the set of settings for the selected machine that will be applied to the plan.
Trim definition: determines whether the trim will be obtained from the Machine Setup (consultation only) or from the Sheet Registration for the material used.
How do you edit Web Cutting Parameters?
The parameters must be edited in the Web Editor. It can be accessed from Cut Pro in two ways: through the Cutting Parameters screen or through the Settings menu.
Cutting Parameters Screen
1. Click the pencil icon located next to the Manufacturer field.
Settings Menu
1. Go to Export Settings and select the Web Machines tab.
After using either option, the Web Editor will automatically open in the system's default browser.
