The publication of a Promob brings a concept called "componentization", which is the possibility of grouping a software component to another component to form a medium.
Thus, the Program, System and Uninstall components form the Promob media. The System component is the only one published by the Manufacturer that personalizes its system, through the Catalog. The other components are published by Promob.
The version of this System component will be identified as follows: yyyy.x, where 'yyyy' = year of publication and 'x' = sequential number of publication. This number is not editable. The System version is identified by the media date in the manager. In Promob, you can check the current Promob System through the Help - About menu, in the "Last published" line.
The Program component is edited, changed and released via update, always and only by Promob. The Program version is identified by 5. review.compilation.commit. Example: 5.60.16.73.
Each component has a way of indicating its version.
When performing the system update, the Promob Update verifies which are the components that make up the Promob in question and displays the components that have updates available and the Promob user defines which components he wants to update.
When downloading the system installation files, Promob Downloader downloads all Promob components in the directory selected by the user so that the system can be installed later.
Componentization makes the publishing process faster, as the system components are published individually. In addition, improvements and corrections are made available more quickly to the Promob user, who is also informed about available updates, deciding which components he wants to update.
