Modules that have an opening must have the exact settings for the opening in order for it to be simulated in 3D space. Door, lift up module, sliding and component opening patterns have been created. For existing opening patterns, the opening orientation behavior is already configured correctly and can be changed.
Below are procedures for openings:
- How to apply openings?
- How to modify openings settings?
- How to configure that the opening is ignored?
- How to have openings by drawing?
How to apply openings?
The openings can be applied to groups, making all existing items within the group to have the opening, or directly in the module.
To apply opening:
1. Access the Registry - Modules menu.
2. Select the item that should open in the Navigation Tree.
Example: On a counter with a door, the opening must be applied to the door register.
3. Choose the Opening tab on the Main tab.
4. Choose an opening type in the Type field from among the patterns already configured, according to the need.
IMPORTANT: By default, for doors, the Right Door opening is chosen due to the handle positioning settings. If it is necessary to apply to a left door, check the Inverted option in the register of the aggregated door in the module. Click here to view the procedure for how to reverse aggregate.
How to change the opening settings
The opening settings can be changed to make the opening in the design as real as possible.
To change the opening settings:
1. Access the Registry - Modules menu.
2. Select the item that contains the aperture applied in the Navigation Tree.
3. Choose the Opening tab on the Main tab.
4. Then, two types of setting changes can be made at opening.
Angle Change
The opening angle settings are used to adjust the simulation of the opening in 3D space.
Inversion of openings
The inversion of the opening of the door is related to the direction in which the door should open and if the item register has mirroring or inversion. To define an inverted opening on the axis, the value Y (Yes) must be entered in the Invert field.
Below is an example of the Right Door opening type with the Invert field filled in different ways.
IMPORTANT: For doors, the value registered in Inverter must be 0 (zero) not to invert, and 1 (one) to invert. For drawers and dumpers, the accepted values are Y and N.
Maximum Opening
The maximum opening of an item defines the amount of opening that should be applied to the module in relation to its normal position. To reset the maximum opening of a module, the value must be entered in the Maximum field.
IMPORTANT: When the Maximum field is blank, for Doors, the degree of opening will be 90.
Below is an example of the Right Door opening type with the Maximum field filled in different ways.
Axis Change
Changes in the axis of rotation are related to the axis defined by where the door must be rotated. To change the rotation axis of an opening, it is necessary to enter the value in the X, Y and Z coordinates according to the opening.
Below is an example of the type of Right Door opening with different changes in the X and Y axis:

How to have openings by design?
Some objects have a special type of opening, which is not served by the existing types of openings (angle and displacement). In these cases, there must be a drawing of the open object and a drawing of the same closed, in the same dxf, where the layers must be properly separated according to their behavior regarding the opening (open / closed) and according to the applied material.
Example:
In the image below, it is possible to view the drawing by the way it is presented in the modeling software. Since the layers must be defined separately for the closed and open drawing, in the example the layers STRUCTURE (black color), ACABAMENTO_ABERTO (red color), ESTRUTURA_ABERTO (green color), ACABAMENTO_FECHADO (blue color) and ESTRUTURA_FECHADO (pink color) were used. .
After making the design settings as shown:
1. Inside the Promob Catalog, access the Registry - Modules menu.
2. Locate the module in the navigation tree.
3. Access the Drawing tab and associate the design.
Click here to see how to associate the design;
4. After associating the drawing, access the Main - Opening tab.
5. Select the Component Opening Type.
6. Add a Description to define the opening you will register.
7. Add the Open and Closed Descriptions in the Option lines and, in each one, specify the layers that correspond to each state, separated by semicolons.
8. After making changes, click the Refresh icon in the header.
