Junction is the coming together of two items, replaced by a third.
To register joints for module sides and partitions:
1. Go to the Registration - Modules menu.
2. Select the item that has the sides that will be joined by the Navigation Tree.
IMPORTANT:
- The sides should be aggregated from the item, the module drawing should only contain the body and the sides should be aggregated.
- In order to merge the exchange of sides and partitions, the items must already be registered vertically, i.e. in the correct insertion position. If your sides and dividers are registered horizontally, you will need auxiliary/intermediate items, adding the rotated items.
3. Go to the Insert Parameters tab and enter the side thickness value in the Left and Right in the Distances grouping.
4. Go to the Aggregates tab and select the left-hand side of the module.
5. Click on the Attributes tab of the Inserts and register the ModuleType attribute with the value LeftLateral.
6. Next, select the Right Lateral aggregate, go to the Attributes tab and add the ModuleType attribute with the value RightLateral.
7. For both sides, also set the ForceCollisionTest attribute to True.
8. Then click on the Update icon in the header.
9. Go to the menu Register - Functions - Joints.
10. Click on New and enter the name of the joint file. If you already have the group corresponding to the location where the lateral joint will be created, select the group.
11. Right-click on the join file you have created and select the Add Joint option.
12. In the window that appears, make the following settings:
- Description: must be equivalent to the junction created, such as "Sides Alt 2600 mm", for example.
- First: click on the Find button and select the left-hand side of the library.
- Second: click on the Find button and select the right-hand side.
-
Substitute: click on the Find button and select the partition that will replace the side meeting.
13. Click Ok at the end of the settings.
14. Select the joint you created and make the following settings:
- Group: fill in the name of the 'Sides' group
- Associate substitute to: First common item
- Type: Left-Right
- Move Parent: Keep the option checked
- Apply preset: Siders/Divisors
NOTE: If you want to use items with different dimensions, you need to adjust the height and depth settings in the Joint tolerances field so that the joint is made correctly.
IMPORTANT: the sides must be added in the module without rotation, with a vertical registration. If you use a system with Builder, you need to create an empty item vertically with the same dimensions as the sides, but without a design, and add the registered part horizontally, rotated and constant. The empty item must be added to the cabinet and given the above settings.
15. Click the Refresh icon in the header again.
16. Note that when you insert the module into the 3D environment and bring its sides close together, they are replaced by the partition:
