This article explains how to adjust the floor limits manually and automatically in Promob, considering walls or other items, as well as how to edit floor dimensions and rulers. It also covers creating a standard floor with fixed dimensions and details configurations to facilitate the positioning of objects in the 3D environment.
In this article, learn more about the floor:
▼ Adjust floor limits
After finishing the construction of the walls, if necessary, adjust the floor dimension. To do this:
1. With the walls created, click on Wall/Floor, select Adjust Floor - Adjust Floor.
2. The floor shape automatically adjusts according to the total dimension of the constructed walls.
▼ Automatically adjust floor limits
For the floor adjustment to be done automatically, it is possible to configure it through the Preferences tab in Promob and also define whether to adjust the limit considering only the constructed walls.
1. In the Preferences tab, go to Environment - Build Wall .
2. Check the option Cut floor when finish. This way, by keeping this option checked, when finishing the construction of a wall through the Wall Editor, the floor automatically adjusts according to the shape of the wall.
Example:
And when there are two or more walls, the floor adjusts to the maximum limits:
▼ Consider only walls when adjusting floor limits
In the floor adjustment, it is possible to define whether the limits will be considered in relation to the edges of the constructed walls, or if they will be considered in relation to the edges of all items outside the wall limits.
1. In the Preferences tab, go to Environment - Floor.
2. Check or uncheck the option Consider only walls when adjusting floor limits.
3. The floor adjusts according to the selection.
▼ Floor dimensions
Floor dimensions can be defined through two options, via the Properties Panel or Resize Arrows, see below:
Properties Panel
1. Select the floor, then go to the Tools Panel - Properties, set the desired dimensions for the floor.
Resize Arrows
1. When selecting the floor, red arrows appear at the edges. Click the arrow on the desired side to adjust the floor dimension, increasing or decreasing as needed.
2. When moved, the arrow turns green. Click on the arrow and drag it until the desired dimension is set.
3. To move the arrow precisely, select it and in the Tools Panel - Arrow, under Increment, enter the desired value for the arrow displacement. Click Apply.
IMPORTANT: This value can be positive or negative.
▼ Create Standard Floor
For situations where the Automatic floor adjustment is enabled or it is necessary to make or redo changes to the floor dimensions, it is possible to use the tool Create Standard Floor. It disregards the last created floor and creates a floor with standard dimensions, equal to those shown in a new project (5000 x 5000 mm).
To do this:
1. Access the Wall Editor, click on Create Standard Floor.
2. Or in the 3D environment, go to Wall/Floor - Adjust Floor - Create Default Floor.
▼ Edit floor rulers
The floor of the environment displays a grid, which is a dotted pattern with square areas, where the region with a more intense color corresponds to the floor. To edit the floor rulers:
1. Right-click on the floor and select the option Edit Floor Grid.
2. In the Grid Editor screen:
Group
Attract:
- Yes: when an item is inserted into the 3D environment, it will be attracted near the ruler.
- No: when an item is inserted into the 3D environment, it will not be attracted near the ruler.
Gap: this property indicates the distance from the ruler at which an item will or will not be attracted when inserted.
Horizontal Interval and Vertical Interval: defines the spacing between lines in the horizontal and vertical positions. Observe the intervals in the 3D environment.
Object: displays the width and height of the floor defined in the Tools Panel - Properties of the 3D environment.
