IMPORTANT:
- Use Quick Quality to carry out initial lighting and finishing tests and evaluate the rendered image. After making all the necessary adjustments, use Final Render to increase the image quality;
- Before making the settings suggested below, render an image of the project so that you can make comparisons with each change.
Tips
1. Number of light points: there is no exact number of light points to be inserted in the project. This number depends on the type of room (kitchen, bedroom), its size, the places you want to illuminate, the intensity of the light, etc.
Go to Promob's Light Editor and check that the number of lights is appropriate for the lighting effect you want to generate in the render. If some light points don't need to be in the project, remove them. Remember that no point can make the room dark and that too many points of light can generate bright spots on the ceiling and unwanted shadows in the room;
2. Setting the intensity of the light points: the intensity of the light points can vary according to each environment. The value for this property can range from 0 to 2 and can be set via the Light Editor. In the Light Editor window, select the light points and check the value of the Intensity property.
It is important to remember that the luminaires available in the Decore library have a light point inserted and this must also have its properties adjusted according to the effect you want to achieve;
3. Material properties: some material properties applied to items in the environment are intended to control the luminosity, reflection and intensity of the brightness of the items. These properties determine how the light should interact with the surfaces of the objects in the room.
If very high values are set for these properties, the project environment tends to become clearer. Select the item where the material has been applied and configure its properties via the Tools - Properties panel, in the Materials in Customized section.
4. Material finishes: to render the image, access the MCode Selector window and select a finish from the item;
