Available from Builder version 1.60.21.4 or higher.
The Machining Depth Inversion feature affects how the depth of machining is considered during operation. When this option is selected, the depth is calculated by subtracting the operation depth from the total depth of the piece (Piece Depth - Operation Depth). If not selected, the operation depth is considered as the final depth.
IMPORTANT: Make changes in this field only when requested by the machine technician, as incorrect use may result in incorrect machining depths.
This option will always be unchecked, except on Weeke and Nanxing NCG3021L machines.
To access and configure the functionality, follow the procedures described below:
1. With Promob open, access the CNC Configuration menu.
2. The CNC Configuration screen is displayed. To open the settings of the desired machine, click on the icon next to the machine's name.
3.Click on Setups.
4. Within the settings, in the General section, check or uncheck the option Invert machining depths.
IMPORTANT: This option will be visible only if checked, if the machine has its processing done by the service and performs machining.
IMPORTANT: This option is specific to the machine, meaning it cannot be applied to a single machining operation. When checked, the functionality will be applied to all machinings using that configuration.
EXAMPLES:
Active Depth Inversion Option:
- Machining with a depth of 10mm
Piece thickness 15.5mm
In this scenario, the final depth would be 5.5mm, resulting from the subtraction of 10mm (machining depth) from 15.5mm (total depth of the piece). In Promob, this information would be presented as follows:
Depth Inversion Option deactivated:
- Machining with a depth of 10mm
Piece thickness 15.5mm
In this scenario, the final depth would be 10mm, as the piece's depth is not considered in the machining calculation. In Promob, this information would be presented as follows:
