To perform the technical drawing settings, go to the Builder - Builder General Settings tab, the following screen will be displayed:
Technical Drawing Settings Screen
Documentation type
The Documentation Types setting interferes with the information present in the header of the technical drawing. The header displays by default the following information:
• Soon
• Date
• Reference
• Title/Name
• Code
• Page
You can configure Documentation type in two ways:
1. Per project
When selecting the Per project option, add the Customer and Space information to the header;
2. Per Operation
When selecting the Per Operation option, it keeps the header with the default data;
Representation type
According to the NBR 10067 (ABNT, 1995) standard, the representation in technical drawing is performed using the orthographic projection method, which can be seen in the 1st or 3rd dihedral.
The representation of the dihedral used to generate the technical drawing is displayed according to the legend located in the lower right corner of the drawing:
To configure the Representation Type:
1. Select the desired dihedral for generating the technical drawing of the parts, and click OK.
The representation will be displayed as follows:
View
Through the View functionality, it is possible to change the description of the compositions in the module's Technical Drawing.
If the option Display component measurements is checked, when generating the report, a line with the measure of the report is displayed, below the line of description of the component.
EXAMPLE: Side Panel - 720x550x18.5
If this option is unchecked, the item description without the measure is generated.
EXAMPLE: Side Panel
By keeping the option Use the new processing engine for cabinets technical drawings checked, the drawings are generated by a cloud service, making drawings to be generated faster.
By checking the option Use automatic drawing orientation in the technical drawings of components, the position of the images are adjusted, aiming to optimize the viewing space.
For more information about drawing orientation according to dihedral, click here.
By checking the option Send open doors for cabinets technical drawings, when using the new processing engine, modules that have doors will be represented with open doors in the technical drawing views, as shown in the image below:
If the option is not checked, the cabinets that have doors will be represented with the doors closed in the technical drawing views, as shown below:
NOTE: For the setting to be applied, the option Use the new processing engine for cabinets technical drawings must be checked.
When the Display the maximum and minimum values of the slot in technical drawing option is checked, the maximum and minimum tear points in the technical drawing are displayed.
Represent through operations on only one face
The purpose of this feature is to enable drawings of parts with through operations to be represented on just one of the faces, without the need to represent the opposite face, unless there are other non-through operations on it.
To access:
1. Go to Technical Drawing Settings - View.
2. By checking the option Represent through operations on only one face, through operations (those with a depth equal to or greater than the thickness of the part) in the Technical Drawing are displayed on only one face, eliminating the need to represent the opposite face.
Examples:
With the option unchecked, both the top and bottom faces are represented, as through operations are displayed on both faces by default:
With the option checked, as there are no other operations on the bottom face that need to be represented, only the top face is displayed.
