Check this article for content on face tilting according to each available dihedral configuration.
IMPORTANT: This information only applies if the part has operations on both faces, or if their material is different.
There are four possible orientations of faces in technical drawing. The cases below will be mentioned according to each dihedral configuration and orientation optimization.
1st Case - 1º Dihedral, without orientation optimization:
Builder general settings:
- Under Representation types, check 1º Dihedral.
- Under View, only mark the option Use the new processing engine for cabinets technical drawings.
When generating the technical drawing, face 0 will be tilted to the right, as shown in the following image.
2nd Case - 1º Dihedral, with orientation optimization:
Builder general settings:
- Under Representation type, check 1ºDihedral.
- Under View, check both options: Use the new processing engine for cabinets technical drawings and Use dynamic drawing orientation on component technical drawings.
When generating the technical drawing, face 0 will be tipped upwards, as shown in the following image.
3rd Case - 3º Dihedral, without orientation optimization:
Builder general settings:
- Under Representation types, check 1º Dihedral.
- Under View, only mark the option Use the new processing engine for cabinets technical drawings.
When generating the technical drawing, face 0 will be tilted to the left, as shown in the following image.
4th Case - 3º Dihedral, with orientation optimization:
Builder General Settings
- Under Representation type, check 1ºDihedral.
- Under View, check both options: Use the new processing engine for cabinets technical drawings and Use dynamic drawing orientation on component technical drawings.
When generating the technical drawing, face 0 will be tilted down, as shown in the following image.
