What happens?
When updating Promob nothing happens or the message Promob Up has stopped working.
Why does it happen?
The situation occurs because, for some reason, Promob Update is unable to initiate the verification necessary for Promob's auto-update.
What to do?
Solution 1: replace the Promob Update
Solution 2: test for proxy
-
If the presence of a proxy is identified, request assistance from the computer technician to verify the presence of Internet access limiters (proxy, firewall, antivirus, among others) that may be preventing the connection to the Promob server at the time of the update.
Solution 3: check softwares
-
Access the Control Panel - Programs and Features;
-
Check the list of programs to see if Infonaut, IntelliTerm, Istartsurf, Link Wiz, McafeeWebAdvisor, Phrase Finder, Quick Ref, SuperClick, TermBlazer, TermCoach, WordAnchor, Wordinator, WordFly or any other malicious programs are installed. -
Perform the Promob update again.

Solution 5: delete temporary files from Promob Update
-

-
As the closed Promob access Local Disk (C:)\ProgramData\Procad. NOTE: The ProgramData folder is a hidden folder;
-
Locate and delete the Promob.Proxy.Config file;
-
Open Promob and perform the update.
Solution 7: check installed Microsoft .NET Framework version
-
Access the menu Windows Start - Control Panel - Programs and Features. Check the list of programs to see if the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.1 component, a fundamental requirement for the proper functioning of Promob, is installed on the computer;
-
If version 4.6.1 is not installed, update the operating system through Windows Update. In the Windows update the Microsoft .NET Framework will be installed/updated. IMPORTANT: perform the complete Windows update, remembering to check the optional updates;
-
After updating the operating system, restart the computer to install the updates and then update Promob again;
-
If the feature is not installed with the update, install version 4.6.1 of the Framework.
NOTE: if you are unsure about performing the above procedure, Promob suggests that you request assistance from a computer technician.
