What happens?
When trying to download Promob, the following message is displayed: An error occurred. Unable to authenticate.
Why does it happen?
The situation can occur for the following reasons:
1. Internet connection problem.
2. PromobID unavailable.
What to do?
Solution 1: Clear Internet Explorer Cookies
1. Clear Internet Explorer browser cookies.
Solution 2: Configure LAN in Internet Explorer
1. Access the Tools - Internet Options menu.
2. Go to Connections tab and go to LAN Settings.
3. Uncheck "Automatically detect settings".
4. Click Apply and retest the Promob Downloader login.
Solution 3: Restore Internet Explorer
1. Click on the Tools - Internet Options menu. IMPORTANT: if the Tools menu is not displayed, press the Alt key.
2. Click on the Advanced tab and then on the Restore advanced settings button. Click Apply.
3. Click Reset. In the window that appears, click Reset. After the reset process is complete, click Close.
4. Click Apply - OK.
Solution 4: delete file
1. Go to the directory where Downloader is installed.
2. Locate by a folder that starts the name with “temp” and press Delete.
Note: The folder is usually located at: C:\Program Files\Promob\Promob Downloader\Program\bin.
Solution 5: Check the installed version of the Microsoft .NET Framework
1. Check the installed version of the Microsoft .NET Framework.
2. If the version is out of date, install a new version.
Solution 6: Check internet limiters
1. Request assistance from the IT technician to verify the presence of Internet access limiters (proxy, firewall, antivirus, among others) that may be preventing the connection to Promob's server at the time of the update.
