In IS7, in addition to ready-made modulation and decoration objects, it is also possible to work with specific parts, called obstacles. Obstacles are generic shapes that can be used in different situations. For example: to create a column in the room, or a strip on the wall, or a region on the floor etc.
To insert an obstacle into the environment, follow the procedures below:
Insert an Obstacle
1. To insert an obstacle, access the Floor Plan menu and then click on Obstacles.
2. In the window that opens, view the various Obstacle templates available for use.
3. After choosing one of the shapes, with the left mouse button pressed, click, drag to the desired location and release the button.
IMPORTANT: Obstacles can be inserted in both 2D and 3D mode. Remember to change the mode whenever necessary.
Moving an Obstacle
1. To move an obstacle, with the left mouse button pressed, move the mouse from one side to the other.
Changing measures an Obstacle
We have two ways to change the measurements of an Obstacle: with and without precision.
- With precision
To change the measurements of an Obstacle accurately, follow the procedures below:
1. Click on the Obstacle you want to change the measures and click on Dimensions.
2. Enter in the fields Length, Depth and Height the measurements you want to insert to the Obstacle.
3. Check the option Keep Scale to make the object always proportional when changing one of its dimensions.
- Without precision
To change the measurements of a without precision Obstacle, follow the procedures below:
1. Select the Obstacle you want to change the measures for and click Dimensions.
2. See that when accessing the Dimension tool, we can observe 4 arrows around the Obstacle. With the left mouse button pressed, drag the arrow that indicates the dimension of the Obstacle you want to change.
IMPORTANT: This procedure can be done in 3D and 2D mode. Remember to change the mode whenever necessary.
